RILLA TROUT SCHOLARSHIP
Attention all Kingsway Families! This spring, the Rilla Trout Memorial Scholarship will be awarded for its ninth year to an 8th grade graduate of Kingsway Christian School. The scholarship was established to honor the dedication Mrs. Trout gave to Christian education. Any KCS eighth grader who will be attending a Christian high school may apply. (Applications will be available to our 8th graders March 15th and will be due April 15th.) We are collecting contributions for this year’s scholarship recipient. Contributions can be made by those who knew Mrs. Trout as well as those who are committed to a Christian education, just as she was. The scholarship will be mailed to the student’s Christian high school and credited toward their tuition. Please prayerfully consider a donation to this cause. If willing, make checks payable to Kingsway Christian School with a memo specifying “Rilla Trout Memorial Scholarship”.
Thank you, Heidi Conger

ELEMENTARY SKATING PARTY A HIT
Thanks to the 200 plus students, siblings and adults who joined us for the skating party at Rock N Rollers on Sat. evening. It was a lot of fun and we found we have a lot of talented student and adult skaters amongst us. The KCS food pantry greatly appreciates all the donations to the food kitchen that will help many needed families in our community. It was a good time shared by many and best of all No Broken Bones. Thanks again for sharing in this event and for the volunteers who put the event together.
CPR CLASS
We will be offering a Heartsaver AED CPR class on Thursday, April 8th, from 6p.m.-9p.m. The class will cover adult, child, and infant CPR. You will learn how to use a life saving AED (automated external defibrillator). We will also show you what to do if someone is choking. The cost for the class is $30.00. The class is certified through the American Heart Association, and you will receive a book with a teaching CD enclosed. The certification is good for two years. If you are interested please let us know at 272-2227 or e-mail us at

THANK YOU FOR FELLOWSHIPPING WITH US
PTF would like to give a special thanks to all Muffins with Moms and Donuts for Dads participants that shared in these two special events this year. We have heard many positive comments and hope you were able to enjoy some special time with your child at school. Many commented that they enjoyed getting to meet their child’s classmates and parents in this casual and fun setting. Teachers commented that they loved seeing parents sitting in the halls before school sharing books. Kids loved that mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or others could come to school and share sweets with them. We also supported the scholastic book fair with additional morning traffic. Also, thank you to our many moms and dads who volunteered to make these events happen. We could not have done it without the help of so many. We hope these are the first in a long tradition of donuts and muffins for our school family.
